Quality Manager
Job Description
Adept are working with a leading manufacturing company who supply into Nuclear and Defence. They are seeking a Quality Manager to join their team; this candidate will lead the quality function of the business, ensuring product conformance, compliance with regulatory standards, and continual improvement of business performance. The Quality Manager will support operational and functional teams in achieving their objectives effectively.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm, with an early finish on Fridays
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain approvals across industry standard certifications and key customers, including AS9100, ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, NADCAP (NDT), R-R SABRE, R-R GS3001.
- Establish and maintain a robust internal audit schedule.
- Conduct audits in line with best practices and ensure timely closure of non-conformances.
- Organise and efficiently manage all external audits.
- Manage team holidays and absences in accordance with company requirements
- Ensure team members are adequately trained and skilled, managed through a training matrix.
- Conduct annual appraisals for all direct reports.
- Review and continuously improve the Quality Management System.
- Implement opportunities for improvement as required.
- Implement and enforce robust quality controls throughout the manufacturing process.
- Ensure alignment with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Record and resolve customer complaints accurately and promptly.
- Utilise quality tools to investigate, correct, and prevent non-conformance.
- Align business KPIs with the Quality Management System.
- Produce company KPIs in a timely manner for management review.
Skills + Experience
- Proven background in Quality, within highly regulated manufacturing
- Proven ability using quality core tools and techniques
- ISO9100 / AS9100 / NADCAP experience
- Confident, capable, and dynamic individual, with a keen eye for detail
