As they continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join their team in Ripley.
Job Responsibilities
- Assemble and fit machined components according to engineering drawings, specifications, and instructions.
- Perform precision fitting, aligning, and adjusting of parts to ensure proper functionality.
- Use hand and power tools, measuring instruments, and gauges to accurately assemble and fit components.
- Conduct inspections to verify the quality and accuracy of assembled parts, identifying and addressing any issues or discrepancies.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize assembly processes, improve efficiency, and meet production deadlines.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Skills + Experience
- Time Served / Level 3 Apprenticeship in a relevant discipline
- Mechanical Assembly: 5 years
- Manual Machining: 3 years
- Excellent Interpersonal skills, comfortable working as part of a team
- Experience of working within relevant industries; Nuclear, Defence
- Experience of working with a wide range of assemblies in size and weight
- Experience of working to tight tolerances
