CNC Machinist
Job Description
Adept Resourcing are excited to be working with a large reputable Manufacturer based in Alfreton who supply directly into Aerospace looking to recruit a CNC Miller.
NIGHT SHIFTS - 4 day working week, Monday - Thursday
Monday – Wednesday 19:30 – 06:00
Thursday – 19:30 – 05:00
Job Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines to perform precision machining operations
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations
- Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and attachments for each job
- Monitor machine operation and make adjustments as necessary to ensure quality and efficiency
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges and coordinate measuring machines (CMM)
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work area
Skills + Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CNC Machinist
- Familiarity with Heidenhain controls is preferred
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is beneficial
