I am currently representing a leading global manufacturer of permanent magnets and precision metals. Due to expansion, they are looking for a CNC Machinist to predominantly ensure the machining of products and components are made to the correct specification.

This role requires flexibility to work both morning and afternoon shifts in addition to the following:

• Ensure all products are machined to the instruction provided
• Ability to work to tight tolerances & read engineering drawings.
• Engineering qualification & experience of Fanuc systems desirable.
• Ensure all documentation relates to the correct w/o, part number and revision before work commences
• Ensure correct use of the scheduling system, and data capture unit. Note, operation times need to be achieved for the schedule to work correctly, if for any reason this cannot be met, inform your line manager with reasons of delay, or improvement
• When required assist in training of personnel
• Flag up any non-conformances promptly to your line manager and complete the correct paperwork
• Take care when handling customer products
• Have input in improving manufacturing methods to reduce costs and / or improve quality of customer products
• Look after the tooling and machinery, inform line manager if any breakages or shortages
• Check measurement equipment. Also make sure it is in calibration
• Keep your area in a tidy organized condition
• Carry out the operation time in the most efficient manner
• Ensure requirements, policies and procedures are complied with at all time
• Ensure the H&S legal requirements, policies and procedures are complied with at all time
