I am currently representing a leading global manufacturer of permanent magnets and precision metals. Due to expansion, they are looking for a Process Engineer to predominantly work within the Carbon fiber winding area; ensuring the completion of a project is within time and budget they will therefore be measured on the cost and timing of each project.

Duties include:

• Develop the Carbon fiber process ensuring key characteristics are achieved, measured and recorded in a timely manner.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and scope provide feedback to BOM and routing engineer as to any changes needed.
• Develop/design/purchase tooling for the CF process
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
• Introduce new manufacturing methods where appropriate to reduce costs and / or to improve quality of our customer products and to protect this intellectual property
• Actively encourage and lead a culture of continuous improvement within production
• Assist in quotation processes inclusive of manufacturing times
• Keep at the forefront of technology with all related competences.
• Assist in problem solving, design and develop increased efficiencies through change requests logs
• Develop a detailed project plan to track progress and present this to the SMT as and when required on CF and other areas of engineering as needed
• Work with other Engineers to select project teams when necessary, ensuring regular communication is given to everyone involved.
• Ensure the QMS requirements, policies and procedures are complied with at all time
• Ensure the H&S legal requirements, policies and procedures are complied with at all time
• Liaise with customers on any technical issues relating to Carbon fiber winding
• Liaise with customers as needed on QA queries as needed
