My client; a specialist manufacturer and distributor to the civils & drainage, plumbing and water management sectors; have a need for an experienced Development Engineer to join their expanding team.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager; you will be working within the R&D team to help further implement and improve both new and existing products.

• Run and support team members on new development projects from conception and justification through to implementation and ROI calculations.
• Assist in daily technical enquiries.
• 3Conversion of legacy 2d product data to fully workable 3d SolidWorks model and drawing files.
• Maintain current product portfolio and implement improvements.
• Develop new ideas around current product portfolio.
• Maintenance of standards and drawing records.
• Support Marketing & Sales functions with new product launches.
• Feasibility assessment.
• Product prototyping.
• Market research.
• Assist in the testing and reporting of current and new product development to the required standards.
• Create BOM’s, product codes, EAN codes and technical information.
• Render & Animation content creation.
• Development of new ideas.
• FEA and presentation of results.

• Work in a safe manner to ensure the safety of self and others and highlight any issues to the QHSE Manager and Area Safety Representative.
• Comply with processes/procedures to ensure that the Company achieves it goal to continually improve its environmental performance.
• BEng / MEng within a similar engineering Field (HND minimum with experience)
• IT efficacy – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Proficient in SolidWorks
• Hands on experience
• Knowledge of engineering, construction and design principles.
